98 Windstar intermittently won't start

We have a problem with the engine not starting because the one relay in this black box under the hood doesn't have a good connection. Once we change the relay w/ a spare the light comes on and you can hear what I think is the fuel system engaging and then it starts. We tried 2 different relays and the same results. It sounds like the the socket could be the problem but not sure. Any thoughts?

You may obtain an owners manual here for 1996 and newer
Fuse panels are listed in the "Roadside Emergencies" section.

You are probably correct.
You might try some CRC electronic contact cleaner... it is in a spray can.

The relay is probably the PCM/EEC relay. It also triggers the fuel pump relay.
