Ford Windstar Introduced in the mid-1990s, the front-wheel-drive Ford Windstar minivan campaigned with an emphasis on, and reputation for, safety. And in the hotly contested family minivan market of the time, that was an especially solid piece of ground to be on. As long as buyers didn't need to haul adults in back on a regular basis, the Windstar served a family's needs just fine.

Question brake light stays on after turning off vehicle

Its probably just a loose nut or something, but wanted to ask you guys before I start messing with something like brakes. our 2000 sel has had a intermittent problem with the brakes staying on, if you lift the brake pedal up they will shut off and stay off. couldnt find a thread dealing with this issue. just need to get pointed in right direction, so i dont go aggravating the situation. its not a big problem, but worried about draining battery over time. thanks again for any help

Get down and inspect the brake light switch on the brake pedal.

See if there is a brake pedal return spring. It may be weak and in need of replacement.
