Ford WindstarIntroduced in the mid-1990s, the front-wheel-drive Ford Windstar minivan campaigned with an emphasis on, and reputation for, safety. And in the hotly contested family minivan market of the time, that was an especially solid piece of ground to be on. As long as buyers didn't need to haul adults in back on a regular basis, the Windstar served a family's needs just fine.
My reverse/back up lights stay on, even when my 2001 Windstar is in park or drive. They stay on even if the vehicle is turned off. I replaced the neutral safety switch, but the problem persist. Thanks for any input.
Do the backup lights come on as soon as you put the key in the ON position?
As I understand it, the backup lights are controlled by the Transmission Range Sensor. This is located on top of the transaxle under the intake hose and air filter housing and has the cable from the shifter attached to it.
Try again the REM controls all this Behind the jack!! Look for a fuses.Or your Break pedal switch look to see if the wire is traped at you break pedal the wire maybe to tight. that should help.
