Ford Windstar Introduced in the mid-1990s, the front-wheel-drive Ford Windstar minivan campaigned with an emphasis on, and reputation for, safety. And in the hotly contested family minivan market of the time, that was an especially solid piece of ground to be on. As long as buyers didn't need to haul adults in back on a regular basis, the Windstar served a family's needs just fine.

Default front wheel hub

i replaced the front driver side wheel bearing this weekend. however the screws that hold the rotor to the hub were a different thread and i left them off. how important are these? all the other cars i have ever owned didn't have these screws.

Hi dado

I believe you are talking about the torx screws on the rotors

I changed my rotors a while back and I purchased them from my ford dealer and they gave my rotors that did not have the screw holes in them, they said these new ford rotors got rid of those torx screws and so I guess you dont need them. It has been a year and have seen no difference with or without screws.

As for you SMS

I haven't pulled off my wheel hubs but I believe you need a special wheel hub tool to remove them.

Default Remove hub

How do you get the top (out of the 3 the hold on the hub) bolt out? Or do I have to remove the steering are?
