Ford Windstar Introduced in the mid-1990s, the front-wheel-drive Ford Windstar minivan campaigned with an emphasis on, and reputation for, safety. And in the hotly contested family minivan market of the time, that was an especially solid piece of ground to be on. As long as buyers didn't need to haul adults in back on a regular basis, the Windstar served a family's needs just fine.

Default Same problem fixed for under $3

I just replaced the number 10 fuse and it hasn't blown since, and that was about two months ago. But I had the same problem - ABS light, spedometer, odometer, a/c...The whole 9 yards, and that one fuse fixed it all.

I have exact problem as stated in another thread. I disconnected the switch under the master cylinder and the replaced the fuse and now have ac, speedo, odo, no flashing od off light. Someone mentioned the replacement switch upgrade but does that stop the fluid leak?

replacing the switch will stop the leak, if it was from the switch (most likely was). Brake fluid will travel down the wires and into the fuse panel so check to make sure it is dry. I have seen melted fuse panels from this.

The connector had some fluid in it. I will have to clean it up before connecting it to the new parts.

the switch on the bottom side of master cylinder is the cruise control cut swtich when the switch goes bad it leaks brake fluid the fluid runs down into the pig tail and shorts out it blows the #10 fuse which takes out speedometer, odometer, AC, and overdrive. unplugging the switch and cleaning the pigtail should fix the fuse problem, changing the switch should fix the fluid leak and if your cruise control has not been working it should fix that as well.

I finally got to the dealer for the part and completed the repair today thanks to all the contributors on this great site. I think the hardest part is topping off the brake fluid when done, not a lot of room under there to get the fluid into the master cylinder. THANKS AGAIN!!!

Default Odometer leaking fluid

Fluid is dripping from the dash of Grand Marquis. It is transmission fluid. Is the only solution a new odometer? Thanks
