Ford WindstarIntroduced in the mid-1990s, the front-wheel-drive Ford Windstar minivan campaigned with an emphasis on, and reputation for, safety. And in the hotly contested family minivan market of the time, that was an especially solid piece of ground to be on. As long as buyers didn't need to haul adults in back on a regular basis, the Windstar served a family's needs just fine.
Car ran fine to store and back but 3 hours later when I was going out again car would not start. Mechanic (son-in-law) determined that it was not getting fuel so replaced fuel pump same thing. He ran a wire from the battery to the fuel pump and as long as it is hooked up the car runs fine. Emergency fuel cutoff in jack compartment replaced still no fuel without hot wiring. ANY CLUES PLEASE...
check the fuel pump relay and the wiring to it, also look very closly at the little ground by the battery it sounds dumb but it will give this problem, also check all the connections and fusable links at the starter relay on the fire wall.
Any clue as to where this fuel pump relay is? I no longer have the owner's manual and the chiltons does not have anything on the fuel electrical. By the way, thanks for the response.
