Hi all, Boy this scares me, all this talk about tranny problems with Windstar.I just picked up a 2003 with 60000 on it from a Ford dealer. With 12 and 12000 mile warranty on it with a 100$ deductable. It was a turn back from a lease. From the sounds of things I better go back and get the extended warrany. Can anyone tell me some early warning signs of a tranny problem? We like the van rides nice and the vision is great. Has anyone had one of these trannys apart and found out what went wrong? Maybe a external filter or bigger cooler might help. Is there a synthetic oil for trans. available? |
