Ford Windstar Introduced in the mid-1990s, the front-wheel-drive Ford Windstar minivan campaigned with an emphasis on, and reputation for, safety. And in the hotly contested family minivan market of the time, that was an especially solid piece of ground to be on. As long as buyers didn't need to haul adults in back on a regular basis, the Windstar served a family's needs just fine.

Default 2002 windstar SL 3.8L

I just bought used 2002 windstar SL, 3.8L. I dont have owner's manual for this vehicle. Can someone plz answer the following questions?

1: How much oil does it take when doing an oil change ? with filter and without filter
2: How much transmission fluid does it taken, when drainning and filling. Does it have filter ? I didnt notice drain plug for the transmissoin fluid, do i have to take the whole pan off ? Do I need to buy a gasket if i do so, or i can use the same one ? I belive this transmission takes Mercon V type, correct me if I am wrong.
3: For the coolant, i didnt see radiator cap as other cars, is it the one on top of reservior bottle ? Where is the drain plug for the radiator ? How many gallos or quarts of coolant is needed ?

4: What kind of spark plug does it use ? What is the easiet way to acccess 3 spark plugs in the back ?
5: PCV Valve, where is it ? Is the one which runs from the front of the engine ?

Please advise. Your help is appreciated.
Thanks

Default 2002 Windstar rapairs

1) 5 qts without filter, with filter: i ussually add 1/2 a quart at a time after i reach 5 qts till the dipstick reads the right level

2) you have to take whole pan off....it is a pain the ass to get pan back on and sealed

3) you fill the overflow tank, and van will suck in coolant as needed i think 2 gallons....not sure

4) ask you auto store in order to get the right plugs....gapping settings should be labeled on the underside of the hood. The rear plugs are a bitch, you have to dissasemble the windshield wipers and reach down (5-25mins front 3)(2-3 hours for rear 3)

5) not a clue
