Ford Windstar Introduced in the mid-1990s, the front-wheel-drive Ford Windstar minivan campaigned with an emphasis on, and reputation for, safety. And in the hotly contested family minivan market of the time, that was an especially solid piece of ground to be on. As long as buyers didn't need to haul adults in back on a regular basis, the Windstar served a family's needs just fine.

Default Brake Repair Kit for Fuse 10 problem
I have been having the Fuse 10 issue (2000 Windstar) where I lose the speedometer, odometer, ABS, and heating control. One of the guys on the forum pointed to a Brake Repair kit as a possible fix, so I had one sent to me (I'm in the military with my car overseas - very little support!). It doesn't have any directions with it, so excuse my ignorance - I assume this replaces the part underneath the cylinder? Any advice on how easy or hard this is to do? Thanks for any replies!

Default Seems to have worked
Looks like the repair kit did the job - two days and no blown fuse...

was it easy to do??? mine is doing it now UGH they want 800. to fix lol yeah right

Hi! It is actually pretty easy to replace with the brake repair kit. There are instructions at the thread "99 Ford Windstar Fuse #10 Problem" It took about 20 mins. You have to move the air filter housing out of the way, not a big deal then the old part unscrews from the bottom of the master brake cylinder...You probably get the idea, but that other thread really helps w/replacing this part.
