Ford Windstar Introduced in the mid-1990s, the front-wheel-drive Ford Windstar minivan campaigned with an emphasis on, and reputation for, safety. And in the hotly contested family minivan market of the time, that was an especially solid piece of ground to be on. As long as buyers didn't need to haul adults in back on a regular basis, the Windstar served a family's needs just fine.

Default Shock and Strut Replacement

Since I am going to have the shocks and struts replaced. Is there any other parts I should replace while I have it out? Like strut mounts or bump stops? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I would change out the strut mounts definately, and depending on the mileage and their condition, I would consider ball joints and tie rod ends. You're going to have the front end aligned any way so why not do it all now? That's my opinion anyway.

Good time to check the brakes and calipers also.

Man, It would be real easy to be offended by that post, but I'm not going to let it.

Check your wheel bearings. If they have ANY free play, this would be a very good time to replace them.

Completely off topic. What does this engine item have to pertain to shock replacement. Thanks for your suggestion anyway.

Any suggestions on the brand of shocks to use? Looked up Bilsteins and they listed nothing for the WS. Same with Koni.
