Ford Windstar Introduced in the mid-1990s, the front-wheel-drive Ford Windstar minivan campaigned with an emphasis on, and reputation for, safety. And in the hotly contested family minivan market of the time, that was an especially solid piece of ground to be on. As long as buyers didn't need to haul adults in back on a regular basis, the Windstar served a family's needs just fine.

Can a starter freeze? and then work when it thaws?

It is possible. If enough water gets into the starter or solinoid and freezes it could prevent it from opperating. Door locks freeze, wipers freeze, windows freeze, fuel lines freeze, dead or weak batteries freeze, heck, even the engine will freeze. Just add water and freezing temps and just about anything, can, and will freeze. Trouble is, somethings will survive and work again, somethings won't.

IMHO

THANK YOU! My van acts like it wants to start but then it won't, it just clicks. Before I get a new starter I wanted to try to warm it up alittle to see if that fixed it first! Thank you for your help!
