Ford Windstar Introduced in the mid-1990s, the front-wheel-drive Ford Windstar minivan campaigned with an emphasis on, and reputation for, safety. And in the hotly contested family minivan market of the time, that was an especially solid piece of ground to be on. As long as buyers didn't need to haul adults in back on a regular basis, the Windstar served a family's needs just fine.

Default Lights on my SEL

Hey, call me stupid but is it possible on my 2000 Windstar SEL to have those bottom lights on when my headlights are on?? they only come on when I use my turn signals ie: you put your left turn signal on the left light comes on?!? Like I said, call me stupid if you must I just came from a 94 Cougar 4.6l fully loaded but it didn't have this

Thanks,
BigDave

No one knows anything about this????? Can anyone give me another forum to use to get more detailed info on the winstars. I had a thunderbird/cougar and there was a whole forum on it and was hoping to find some detailed information on the windstar here and i'm not getting anywhere. There is way too many conflicting stories i'm reading here about the same questions users ask?!?!

You bought the wrong type of vehicle if you want lots of forum support.

Windstars were built for Families/Women to use and drive and have repaired at a Dealer and dont have lots of people modding or making them faster. Thunderbirds are more Masculine and geared more to men and will have more of a forum support.

I was happier than hell to find this forum for my Windstar.

I suggest if you need help as fast as you do, sell the Windstar and buy a Mustang.

I don't get it why people always expect a old vehicle that breaks down to always be covered under some warranty?

If your exhaust tip is larger than your cylinder bore, then you are a Ricer.

You are as useful as a Screen Door on a Submarine!

All that i'm saying is that there is no expert opinion on this forum from what i'm seeing (not in any rude way please don't see that) but even on the thunderbird area there are no real clear answers on this topic I simply asked for more of an answer on the lights my my van and no one responded. I can't believe that people had these vans for years and no one can tell me the simple basics of it. and FYI I never "modded" my cougar I just needed to know repair info to make it back to OEM when there was a problem. I just ASSUMED with all of this knolledge on this forum that my simple questions would get answered fully and not with a guessing remark of something like "POST: EGR stuck open running lean" and it was responded with "replace it" why? i've found plenty of info on it that just replacing (not on these forums) it will not fix the problem of it being stuck open. examples of these I can assume myself was just hoping to get more info that something like that!

i think those are "cornering lights", it illuminates the path on where you're turning to, thus it only comes on when you turn the signals on.
