Ford Windstar Introduced in the mid-1990s, the front-wheel-drive Ford Windstar minivan campaigned with an emphasis on, and reputation for, safety. And in the hotly contested family minivan market of the time, that was an especially solid piece of ground to be on. As long as buyers didn't need to haul adults in back on a regular basis, the Windstar served a family's needs just fine.

Default Unknown Switch Next to Hood Lever

My 1998 Ford Windstar 3.8L GL has an On/Off switch next to the lever used to open the hood. It is black in color. I've searched through my user's manual and it doesn't have it. I've even asked the Ford dealer well, the parts department in this case but he didn't know what it is either

If you have this switch, can you please tell me what it is and what it does etc? Thanks.
