Ford WindstarIntroduced in the mid-1990s, the front-wheel-drive Ford Windstar minivan campaigned with an emphasis on, and reputation for, safety. And in the hotly contested family minivan market of the time, that was an especially solid piece of ground to be on. As long as buyers didn't need to haul adults in back on a regular basis, the Windstar served a family's needs just fine.
have a 96 Windstar with a 3.0. The A/C blows cold and everything works but I find that my passanger side carpet is completely soaked with water. When I lift the carpet up there is water coming from behind the dash. This seems to be something sweating from part of the A/C system is what I can tell.
I have driven the van in the rain and this has never happened so it is not a hole in the car or a poor seal in the door or something. Anyone run into this? Maybe a drain tube not routed correctly?
Took apart the glove box and lower dash, pulled back carpet. Started car and ran A/C. I can see a trail of water coming from the bottom of the bower motor where it atteches to the fire wall. Is there a drain or control valve that is blocked/not working?
Bingo, your evaporator drain is plugged. It drains the condensate from the evap coil. It's supposed to drain the water OUTSIDE. But if the drain gets plugged, water backs up and it drains inside the car. Find the drain at the bottom of the firewall and use a pipe cleaner to get out any crud. Then flush with water until it runs out clear.

When I did my exhaust or sparkplugsI noticed a few pieces of leaves sticking out of my drain hose. I stuck a small screwdriver up it and lots of crud came out. I guess mine would have leaked inside the car soon.

If your Exhaust tip is bigger than your cylinder bore, you are a Ricer!
Just to be sure, is the evap drain on the firewall near the bottom of the fresh air intake for the blower motor or is the dran somewhere else? I can see a very short hose sticking out of the firewall on the pass side near the fresh air intake and wanted to make sure this is it or if the drain is somewhere else.
