Ford ZX2 Ford ZX2 offers sporty styling, responsive handling, brisk acceleration, and everyday comfort and practicality for one or two people. Its back seat and trunk are fully usable. Yet the ZX2 is easy on fuel, and costs less than some base-level sedans. Gone is the smooth, grille-less look, replaced by a dark horizontal slash between the headlights.

Default Need Trany

So recently my 98 ZX2's transmission went out. somehow someone put motor oil in it so it overheated and melted down. im not the one who put the motor oil in there, but the point is i have a 98 ZX2 and it wont move. would it be cheaper to rebuild the transmission or get a new one? its got 123,000 miles on it. and its an automatic.

if its not to much of hassle id like to stick a manual transmission in there as long as it would still meet emissions and pass inspection. im in the Houston Texas area.

and i would like a link of places where i can get rebuild kits/transmission so far i cant find anything on it other then no one likes the ZX2 tranny..

im trying to stay under 1000$

i have done some mods but nothing to my tranny
