Ford ZX2 Ford ZX2 offers sporty styling, responsive handling, brisk acceleration, and everyday comfort and practicality for one or two people. Its back seat and trunk are fully usable. Yet the ZX2 is easy on fuel, and costs less than some base-level sedans. Gone is the smooth, grille-less look, replaced by a dark horizontal slash between the headlights.

Default A combination question

I have a 2002 ZX2 with the automatic tranny. I've noticed the past couple of weeks, the transition from first to second gear acts as if it slips, second to third gear I get a moderate jolt. I bought the car at carmax thus i got a warranty. I took it in to get it checked out at aamco. They said the tranny was fine, that it was due to an O2 sensor being bad. I find this puzzling due to the fact that I have no check engine light and that my car heats up fine. How could a sensor cause my tranny to slip and jolt *which they said they could not feel in there road test*. I've also noticed on a snowy day * or you're stuck behind an 18 wheeler* when you accelerate slow, from 1st to 2nd the car will jolt and sputter like it's going to die. It only has 54000 miles on it and other than the tranny it runs like a dream. Thank you for all your help!!
