Ford ZX2 Ford ZX2 offers sporty styling, responsive handling, brisk acceleration, and everyday comfort and practicality for one or two people. Its back seat and trunk are fully usable. Yet the ZX2 is easy on fuel, and costs less than some base-level sedans. Gone is the smooth, grille-less look, replaced by a dark horizontal slash between the headlights.

Default ZX2 tranny...of course

Hi everyone. I'm new here. I have a '99 ZX2 sport. The ATX is showing signs that it's about to kick the bucket. The car only has approx. 110,000kms (roughly 65,000 miles?). If the tranny dies, I won't have the money to rebuild it, so I'm thinking about buying a parts car. I have a friend who buys wrecks and used parts from all over North America, so he can find me a cheap donor car. What I need to know is what vehicles would have the same tranny? Would a ZX2 non-sport model, with the non-Zetec engine, use the same ATX? What about a '99 Focus with the Zetec? Or even a Countour/Mystique? My first choice would be another ZX2, as I could use some of the other parts...like speakers to replace the 3 blown ones in my car :-) Thanks for reading. I hope someone can help.
