Ford ZX2 Ford ZX2 offers sporty styling, responsive handling, brisk acceleration, and everyday comfort and practicality for one or two people. Its back seat and trunk are fully usable. Yet the ZX2 is easy on fuel, and costs less than some base-level sedans. Gone is the smooth, grille-less look, replaced by a dark horizontal slash between the headlights.

I heard the Escort/ZX2 manual transaxles were manufactured by mazda, is this true? If so, what mazda models have the same unit?

Also the Mazda MX-3 1992-1995. All of these cars were based on the mazda B platform. The Probe was based on the Mazda MX-6 / 626, and the current Fusion is a long wheelbase Mazda6. The European Focus, Mazda3 and Volvo S40 are also all related.
