Default Heater control panel

I have a 2000 ford explorer limited edition, My heat stopped working and so i replaced the heating core because it was bad, but the heat still does not work. I got the switch to replace on the dash but i got the wrong one because mine is push button it's all electrical. Can anybody please tell me why nothing is blowing through the vents? I turned the knob all the way up on high and it still won't blow out. Please help?
