heater blower won't work

ok, so here's my issue.

I have a 2001 focus se, and the blower switch only worked on high. then stopped working all together. i replaced the resistor, AND the 30amp fuse that was blown and it still won't work. i have no cabin filter in it- thanks to cheapy ford

(which i'm getting on my own).

i went to check if it works and it blew the new fuse immediately. does anyone have any ideas or know how to check to see what is wrong from here, or to check if it is the blower motor itself before i just buy a new one?

Sounds like your describing a short circuit. A very common cause for this would be a worn out blower motor. An "overdrawing" blower motor would most certainly be able to take out a blower resistor as well.
