2000 ford windstar

I own a 2000 ford windstar and air wont come through the vents by the front window therefore it does not defrost the front windows....heat works throughout the rest of the van. What could be wrong?? and how can i fix that?? Thanks in advance

I'd try checking for a vacuum leak underneath the dash.
This system uses vacuum to change the position that air comes out of the vents.
I forgot to plug in the vacuum line to the resoviour after I finished changing the plugs in my '03 windstar, and air only came out of the defroster. After I reconnected it, then the system worked fine. You may also have a faulty selector actuator .
