heat blowing when ac should

I have a E350 super duty 7.3 2002. When I put on the normal ac with the rear auxilary system on it blows hot air from the lower vents instead of cold air out the upper overhead vents.The rear fan is working and the front system works as normal.The same happens when the max ac is on. Thank you for any help you can offer.

It has to be a rear blend door problem but I would check the owners manual to verify that cold air is supposed to come ot the lower vents.

Vehicles with trim have a vertical duct that supplies air to the integral headliner air conditioning duct. Air is supplied to the passengers through six adjustable registers. The heater floor duct is integral to the side trim panel and has four fixed registers for optimum heater air distribution. The trim panel connects directly to the auxiliary A/C-heater unit.

It appears that ac is only available through the roof vents
