|  99 Exped heater core problem??
I have a 99 Exped with119,00 mls 4.6L When I turn on heat windshield fogs up and there is a very strong coolant odor. I suspect it is the core, but is ther anything else it could be? Have not noticed excessive interior or exterior leaking. If I do need core replacement, how much can I expect to pay a mechanic if I am not able. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated. |

The dash has to be removed I would guess in the neighborhood of 8 hours + parts | |

Does this absolutely sound like the core nneeds replacement or could it be another component or just a hose maybe? Is it at all possible that since I see no big leak that stop leak or another product could remedy this? | |

If you happen to put in any stop leak of any sort it will cause other problems
down the road you are better off fixing it right the first time just to save you money in the long run | |
