Default Expedition with smelly vents? Huge explosion! Fire!

Thanks for reading my post. I'm a firefighter. I took my Expedition to a smoky fire and now I get a smoky smell out of my vents. I've been to hundreds of fires and the smell has always cleared in a few hours. The smell has been persisting for days now. Is there something or somewhere I can clean to help get rid of the smell? I like the smell, but it drives the wife crazy.

Any suggestions?

Default Smelly vents

I hate to sound stupid, but I never heard of cabin air filters. Where are they?

You love the smell? your really are a FIREFIGHTER! lol Smelly interiors are usually comes from the environment. I smoke while driving, now the smell stays with the car. You cant try a full auto detailing of the car. you're wife will surely love it when it is all cleaned up.

A little research tells me to look near the glovebox for the filter. I'll poke around in the morning. Thanks for the help.

Buy a can of A/C deoderizer when you buy the cabin filter and read the directions.
