Default compression type in-line A/C filter

When torqing down the compression nuts one at a time it's nearly impossible to keep the filter from turning on the line while holding the filter still and torqing the nut while trying not to twist the filter. My liquid line has a high side service pipe coming straight up off of it and I hit it on accident and it twisted the line within the filter I installed. Is it normal for the lines to twist given enough torque from inside the filter when thier fully installed and compressed?

Default

I guess it's ok for the filter to be able to turn on the line because I have it all together working perfectly with cold a/c no leaks. Thanks for all the the help.
