Default explorer a/c headaches

i have a 1998 ford explorer sport and i am having a/c problems. It seems random and intermittent. You will be driving and the a/c will be pumping out cold air perfectly fine, then out of the blue it'll stop being cold. If you crack the windows it will get cold again for a little while and then it will get warm again. I have also noticed that sometimes when it goes warm if i just turn it off and back on it will become cold again. i bought some freon thinking it was low( cause last year it blew the accumulater) but it says it is full of freon. What do you think it is? please help!

Try checking your fan relay switch or the temperature (OR switch where you select the air conditioning) might not be functioning well.

Sounds like the evaporator core might be freezing up, I have seen this problem caused by pet hair or trash preventing air from flowing through the core properly, this lets water condensing on the core to freeze.
