 Defrost blows cold air
I hope someone can help, I have a 2000 expedition and when you give her the gas the vacuum drop off and the AC defaults to the defrost. Here what I have done soo far: inspected the vacuum can, the vacuum lines and the replaced the check valve but it still does the same thing. You step on the gas and it switches to the defrost let off the gas and it goes back to the vents. I also pulled the vacuum line that goes through the firewall after the car was off and that line still had vacuum on it. I would also like to make sure the new check valve is in the right direction, does the colored portion go to the engine or to the vacuum can. I have read alot on this sight but hey all say look for vacuum leaks, i dont think thats it. Maybe the switch in the dash or what???? |
