 A/C compressor smoke up, stop engine sudden
Hello everyone.
I have a Ford EL 4L.
When I was driving on the highway at a 100Km/h, the odometer clocked over 165,000km and the engine stopped itself. As the speed dropped, I slowly pulled to the kerb and stopped.
When I popped the bonnet, I smelt something, and noticed smoke around the a/c compressor clutch. It also blew the main fuse (30 amp). I had to get the car towed home.
Do you have any suggestions on what may be the problem?
