Flushing the heater core My 01 Taurus is blowing cold air when I turn the heat on. I have checked most of the little things, and just replaced the thermostat a week ago. I plan to flush the heater core over the weekend, but was wondering exactly how this is done. Is it as simple as running water through it with a hose, or is there some kind of kit that I need to use in conjunction with the water hose that will help to put some force behind the water?
On a side note, I had an issue with overheating last weekend, but I really have no idea if the heater was blowing hot air before that or not. A new thermostat seems to have fixed that problem.
Thanks in advance.
