Post Ford Windstar LX 2002 compressor clutch issues

The minivan that i have has been working great, but im having problems with my a/c compressor clutch. If i want ac i have to open the hood and push it in, and it seems that its loose or something since it just pops completly in and out. Is there any way that i can fix it, like is the blot lose or something, or do i need to change the whole thing out?

Thank you

You have to swap the whole compressor clutch assembly.

Be careful not to twist/kink any of the lines.

so there really isnt a quick fix for it, because it would cost about $350 just for the part?

You can just replace the clutch assembly if the compressor is still working fine. You remove the wheel and get the tool kit it will be a while you do not have to unhook the compressor just a bad placement. FS10 Compressor
