Default 99 Taurus NO HEAT OR DEFROST!!!

Hey ever one Ive got a 99 Taurus LX (I think thats what it is) but Ive lost my De-frost capabilities and all heating, I flushed the system and used the corrosion remover stuff but still no heat. When I change the temp. I can hear it change from heater to AC, but with no effect. I changed out the whole console for an after makret one and that was about a cupple years ago and ever thing worked fine. I deployed during the summer for 4 months and came back and it didnt work, cold there be a valve I need to change out for a quick fix, ive checked the fuses and all seem good, I cant even find the appropiate fuse for it, but Ive check all the ones under the hood, there is a cupple missing slots any ideas, or diagrams I can see if anything goes in the slots?.

Is your blower motor working?
If it is, is the air hot or warm?

check:
low coolant level, heater control vavle, plugged heater core, stuck blend door, cold thermostat or a broken vaccum line.

put a vacuum gauge on the line going to heater control valve and see if you can get any vacuum when the car is warmed up and the heat is turned on.

Also see if you can feel any coolant moving through the heater core hoses when the vehicle is warm and the heat is turned on.

BE CAREFUL YOU DON'T GET BURNED!

I wouldn't jump about replacing the heater core, you may consider flushing the radio core in that situation.

I have a 99 with the same problem. I'll be in touch in case one of us solves the problem. With no defrost, this vehicle is down for the winter. The heater hose is hot until the back side of the tee which connects to the heater core. A/C seems to be running constantly because of the high volume of water flowing from the condensation drain line. I'm thinking a stuck valve or switch controlling the temperature.

I believe your heater core is plugged up with little black particles and the only way to fix it is to is to flush the core out in both directions. I usually do this every six months and it the heater works great until it gets plugged up again. No heat could also be the blender doors aren't working or the heater core is defective. I would flush first then if that doesn't work then replace the core. Good luck.
