Default El cheapo electric lugs

Copper tubing can be made into lug. Hammer one end flat and drill your hole(The exact diameter you need which is hard to find sometimes) and then use a tubing cutter and cut it to a bit longer then a normal lug would be and strip you wire and crimp. Works great if you are on the side of the trail and a starter solenoid wire burns out. I have used copper tubing from my battery straight to the solenoid to get me home before by doing this! (don't ask P.O. had wire cut so short from corrosion) The lug gave out and there wasn't enough left to do the above so I just bent the tubing and bolted it to the battery terminal! If you have a torch around you should heat up the tubing a bit first and keeping it warm for a few minutes then hit it with a quick (5-8 second) blast of water to anneal it. Keeping a few different diametersand lengths in your tool box will ensure you don't have to run around looking for lugs and is a lot cheaper in the long run!!

If you have intermittant running problems or a flat spot/buck/dying/cutting out while accelerating.
Do your self a favor and try some dedicated gas
line dryer, Double or even triple dose it, It's cheaper
then throwing parts at a problem that doesn't throw
codes!!

Good idea, but copper isn't that cheap anymore. Still it's a lifesaver when you don't have the right size lug and it 2:00 am and the job has to be finished!
