Default outside temperature display

I have an xlt and it doesn't show the temperature outside on the display, but you can see the space for ti and the characters where it would display.

Is it possible to turn this feature on somehow even though it's not on in this model by default?

If you followed the directions in the owners manual and it still doesn't come on, then no, it's an option.

I know it's not an option that came with this model, but I see the characters are in the display so I was wondering if there was anything I can do to make it work. Maybe the option is simply "turned-off" by the factory some how and I could possibly turn it on?

In a nutshell, no. It is very typical for a company to use one display for several models. You would need other parts, like resistors, capacitors and IC chips, not to mention a circuit schematic, to get it to work.

So yes it is "technically" possible to achieve, but not likely, and certainly not an easy task
