Thanks for the response. The pump has not completely gone out yet. The oil light will come on once the engine warms up but only under 1000rpm. I had the sending unit replaced and had the oil and filter changed hoping that might solve the problem but to no avail. So from what I've been told it must be the oil pump. Also, the service engine light is on and the code is showing a problem with the secondary air flow. What might that be. Thanks.
