It all depends on the condition and the type of car. I am guessing you are talking about the 1979 Thunderbird...
I would say from my best guess is that it is worthless. The only way a car like that is if it holds sentemental value, other than that you'll never see a 1979 T-bird in a car show.
Now if you had a '70s '60s or '50s T-bird, then you'd have another story on your hands. I do not collect T-birds so I could be wrong, but I believe your car is just ordinary.
People will classify is as a collectible, or classic just by the name and how old it is... but certain years are more desireable than others...
It comes down to, If you like the car, then it is a collectable (to you), and it is worth it for you to keep it.
