Thanks everyone for their knowledge and advice!! I need it. So if you have anything else to add or any other ideas that may help out a beginner please let me know!!
Ah ic. Yea I thought it would be easier to just get the engine and Tran’s combo. I knew I would have to do some surgery to the car but I was just trying to avoid it due to my lack of experience. I always had a great interest in cars and working on them, but never had the chance to until now, so this is all new to me. I just plan on doing it and learning that way. I've talked to a few people and they all told me to just do it and read and ask questions a long the way and that would be a good way to learn. However, i was also just thinking about buying another 92 bird with a v8 and rebuilding the v8 with some improvements of course the increase speed, power and muscle. This way i could use the engine the tans and rear end. I just have lack of experience and just trying to find the right route to go.
The 5.0 will fit but like it's been mentioned the K member that holds the mounts may be slightly different. No surgery to the car would be necessary though. Just altering the mount area. Can't say for sure what might need to be changed if you left the V6 K member in it. What you need to do is get the engine trans combo you want and hang it from a hoist and size it up from there. If you bolt the trans to the mount and then hold the engine where it should be you can do the measurements needed. I have built a couple hot rods and am currently doing a 65 F100 and that is the method I used with good success. I like measuring twice and cutting once.
