The 5.0 will fit but like it's been mentioned the K member that holds the mounts may be slightly different. No surgery to the car would be necessary though. Just altering the mount area. Can't say for sure what might need to be changed if you left the V6 K member in it. What you need to do is get the engine trans combo you want and hang it from a hoist and size it up from there. If you bolt the trans to the mount and then hold the engine where it should be you can do the measurements needed. I have built a couple hot rods and am currently doing a 65 F100 and that is the method I used with good success. I like measuring twice and cutting once.

Ah Ic. ok well the body to my t-bird is mint. I dont need to do anything to teh body. It's been sitting in my garage for a while and does not run. it has a v-6 super charged in it now, but i want to put something bigger into it. I want this car to have some speed and muscle. I was hoping to get an engine and rebuild it during the winter. also, i would like to put a bigger trans (one that fits the new engine i get of course) and a rear end, and possibly a shift kit. Does this sound crazy??? So all i was really looking to do is change out engines, bigger cam, trans and rear end, and get a new paint job. But i want some muscle!!! Also, what do you think i should do? what type of engine do u think i should be looking at that will give me some muscle, and speed, but at the end will also be legal??

Hey you helped me out with my engine question on my '92 thunderbird and i was wondering if a 351 windsor or 351 cleveland would fit in to the '92 t-bird with out modifying the engine mounts. I'm new to this whole site and to fixing up engines so i have a lot of questions, so i'm sorry in advance for being a bother!
