    I have a 6.4 twin turbo diesel.
When i run my truck and shut it off or just turn key on and off the power keeps feeding the turbo charger actuator, egr valve actuator, and egr throttle plate valve. It wont shut off. The only way to kill power is to disconnect the battery cables, then they stay off until the key is turned on again. Unplugging and plugging them in individually they still hum and have power feeding them. When scanning i got code p132b turbo charger boost control A performer. Did test and tested ok. Code p1335 egr plate valve position sensor min performer tested ok. Code p042e egr actuator stuck open. I replaced it with a new one, but i still have the problem. I also replaced the pcm. Problem still exist. I tested grounds all tested good.

If it was mine I would go find a wire harness and computer set up for a 4.6 car. Get a 4.6 and trans and build it up for performance. The 4.6 has a ton of potential and the body will accept it without any mods. I think you will need the mounts for a 4.6 but that is pretty much it. If you really want to go balls to the wall try and find a 4.6 and trans out of a Mark VIII. Get the PCM and wires too. Now you have some HOLY SH*T power. The 8.8 diff is good for 400+ HP so you should be ok that way. Just update the ujoints to a performance version.

Ah Ic. ok well the body to my t-bird is mint. I dont need to do anything to teh body. It's been sitting in my garage for a while and does not run. it has a v-6 super charged in it now, but i want to put something bigger into it. I want this car to have some speed and muscle. I was hoping to get an engine and rebuild it during the winter. also, i would like to put a bigger trans (one that fits the new engine i get of course) and a rear end, and possibly a shift kit. Does this sound crazy??? So all i was really looking to do is change out engines, bigger cam, trans and rear end, and get a new paint job. But i want some muscle!!! Also, what do you think i should do? what type of engine do u think i should be looking at that will give me some muscle, and speed, but at the end will also be legal??

That swap would take quite bit of fabrication to pull it off. The engines are completely different. The 351C was never fuel injected either so you would have to carb it and change all the electronics. Would never pass emissions if you need to do that where you live.

Hey you helped me out with my engine question on my '92 thunderbird and i was wondering if a 351 windsor or 351 cleveland would fit in to the '92 t-bird with out modifying the engine mounts. I'm new to this whole site and to fixing up engines so i have a lot of questions, so i'm sorry in advance for being a bother!

It's not easy but you can reach up behind the grill with a pry bar and move the lever so the hood will pop open. Try and see the lever the cable runs too. Move it towards the drivers side of the vehicle. Good luck.
