    Dwight,
I have a good mechanic that has all the education on the OBD through OBD II.
I send family and friends to him because he is honest and fair in pricing.
He works at Advance Auto Tune and is the shop manager. His name is Gene Sarda.
The shop is in Renton, WA. and the phone number is 425.430.0595.
I never got into the computer controlled cars until I had a Bronco II and after that one I am staying away from all the new cars. If you are close enough to use Gene then give him a call - if you live too far then you might call and see if he can recommend someone in your area.
I had dirt accumulate on the throttle linkage of my Bronco that cause the idle to stay higher than it should but I don't know if that is your problem.

About the friends thing, I am open to it but I don't spend much time on-line. I head two non profit groups, am the pastor of our temple and continuously am to be found at one fundraiser or another. I will add you to my friends list but wanted you to know that it is quicker to contact me through email at paulstephens@q.com than anyother way.
    Blessings,
    Paul

    Hi Paul,
I Just Read A Solution You Gave To Someone Concerning A Fast Idle Problem. Well, I Have The Same Problem, only It's On An '85 Ranger;2.3l.4cyl.efi.manual Trans,(early Edition). I Tried Cleaning The Iac;cking The Tp Sensor. I Finally Purchased An OBD-I Code Reader And It Read,#13 And #33.being The Egr.I Took It Off And It Was Stuck,so I Freed It Up And Cleaned It. I Ck'd The Code Again And It Remained The Same With The Fast Idle. I Tried Disconnecting The Battery And Throttle Sensor To Reset The ECU But That Didn't Work Either. I Also Live In Western Washington And Am 62 Yrs.young.I'm Not A Mechanic And Could Really Use Any And Every Suggestion You May Have.
    Thanks In Advance,
    Dwight Nex
