2001 ford escort gets code 0171, cant find vacuum leak.

i just bought 94 probe gt. guy said everything is good. then it was going low idle high idle when stopped. put some new gas in seemed to stop but was told it could be alternator. then it drove fine all day and the fuel cutout light came on. it still was running fine. light still on this morning, then i start driving and power windows hardly work turn off headlights turn back on they wont even lift themselves up. then the car dies in middle of intersection. does this have anything to do with the fuel cutoff? is it possible to have no issues with the light staying on? what the hell happened? just the alternator? it has no juice just goes click click click when you try to start it.cars down the street in a lane please help asap!

I have a 2001 E150 Van, It has been recommended that in the process of doing a front brake job that a brake flush be done also. Is that something that should be done also, the brake flush?

Hi my name is Casey and I am new to this site but I have noticed that you seem to know alot about or round about theproblem that I am having with my 99 ford windstar dlx...so here it goes....i got in my van yesterday and the fuel gauge said it was empty, the back a/c stopped working and the doors will not lock or unlock....so i turned the car off and on again and everything seemed fine till about 3 miles down the road the fuel reader went from half to reading empty and the gas light beeping and then all of a sudden my back brake lights stay on constantly...
So I did a systems check on the dash...and it says this
fuel computer data error
door lock sensor data error
exterior lights data errror
turn signals data error
brake fluid level data error

Im am at a loss for this vehicle...please help
