I became a victim today of recommending to repair an existing 1993 Lincoln Mark VIII inop air suspension system and when we replaced the bad air compressor it then revealed after filling up air bags there was a small leak in the l/f air bag. Now the customer asked me if we knew of any conventional suspension alternative when deciding this repair and I stated no due to the fact I personally never saw one and our parts department called 2 after-market parts stores and they came up with nothing .I was also wary about after-market alternatives for future warranty issues. I now face the fact that the customer finds his alternative and wants his money back. I have been burned in the past using after-market parts and left out in the cold replacing parts for free.Stuck and looking for answers.
