ive also got a 63 r code that my dad had the motor rebuilt, put a hunderd miles on it and parked it in a barn for about 25 years. looks like crap but runs like the devil.
Well anyway, i started it and it still smokes. Tomorrow i will admit defeat and put the offenhauser manifold back on. btw, what motor do you have?
