Yeah in the USA the Fairmont died in the 1980's.

Very nice looking ride you have there and I hope you get it fixed soon.

I never heard of a 1995 Ford Fairmont. You can shake the exhaust to see if it makes the same noise, it doesnt depend what side of the car it is on, bumps make things rattle either by hitting the floor or suspension. Check all frame bushings and suspension bushings for wear.

Hey Mark...I see your the top poster on here...I'm new and have posted my question but maybe you might have an idea on my problem. I have a 1995 Ford Fairmont EF, it has been making a thudding noise from underneath the car, it seems to be coming from the centre and thuds from there to the back left of the car. If I go over a bump on the right side of the car there is no thud, but if I go over a bump on the left side on the car it thuds, some days isn't too bad but other days it's really shockly bad. I have had 4 different machnics look at it and they have no idea what it is. It passes a warrent every-time without trouble. It's been doing it for 2 years now and I am totally over it. Been told it's not the exhaust because that's on the right side of my car. Any ideas?

Try checking all fuses and check all the wiring around the radio, sounds like maybe you blew a different fuse or disconnected a ground. I think there is a fuse block under the hood too. Post in the Escape forum and maybe someone else did or experienced the same issues you have and can help you a little more or steer you in the right direction to fix your issue. Good Luck!

I was installing an aftermarket cd player and blew out fuse and i replaced them and it started working then i took it all back out to put in the harness and then everything went wrong my gauges frizz when i start the damn car they go all the way up like my gas to to full my temp goes to hot and my rpms go all the way up and i unplugged the cd player and it still does it and now even the cd player doesnt work and i havent changed any wiring or fuses since at first but from what i have been told its a ground wiring or a relay problem can anyone help or specifics

    Thanks

I dont know of any sites that will show you how or photos. I would just get a Chilton manual off Ebay or from a Bookstore. I think Autozone.com may have some how-to's.
