hey... You responded to my post in the thunderbird forum.. Yes the check engine light is on and i found old receipts in the car that have codes, P1443 - Evap system control valve, and P0306 - Misfire in cylinder #6. The check engine light was off when i purchased the car but came on a few days later.. Yesterday it started pretty hard and wouldnt idle at first unless i was on the gas a little, but once it warmed up it idled fine. Replaced the plugs and solved that problem, i think. Any ideas on what might be causing the transmission to vibrate when i put it in gear? Would a simple fluid/filter change do the trick and fix it or is it something more? I've heard possibly vacuum lines, or a bearing going in the tranny?
I saw somewhere your a Ford Tech. I take that to mean you work at a Ford Dealership. Are you guys seeing a rash of electrolysis related failures on Expeditions?
We are in the process of manufacturing copper/brass heaters for the Expedition / F-150 as well as Crown Vic. If there is any interest I'll send you a flyer.
i have a 90 ranger 2.9 and need to know how to determine if i have a blown head gasket or just a blown intake manifold gasket.i have a mic and headphones , can we talk?
I'm assuming there are no codes since I don't get a "Check Engine" light. I'll try cycling the key in the morning since it's going to be fairly cold again.
