The c-4 was the only option as far as automatics go for the Fairmonts / Zephyrs......sorry I forgot about the c-5 also. It looks a lot alike the c-4.

I know all about the teenager budget !! My car was started several years ago and sat for about 3 years in pieces un till last summer. Now I just gotta get it running again.
Where is the Ford swap meet ?
I am not sure what trany your 302 has...guessing its a C-4 because the C-6 was most common on the 351w engines. I would go with the C-4 if I was you, You need the correct bell housing, flywheel, torque converter, and the steel plate in between the trany and block. Think your current flywheel on the 302 will be fine, but if it turns out your 302 has a c-4 already then your are all set togo. As for the rest I am not sure, some of the guys on this web site should be able to tell you that.
The motor mounts are from '75-'83 F-150 trucks with a 302 or 351 engines. This info is on my web pages if you need to look again. index

Nothing too much, I am looking for some heads for the 351w. Not sure if I will go with some GT40p's or some Edlebrock's....guess price will determind that. Also, looking to send the C-4 trany in to get overhaul and beefed up. Looking at ordering a maual steering rack and getting my mastercylinder too.
How about you ? When do you think you will get started on yours ? Did you make it to "World of Wheels" ? I did saw Chip Foose....but no autograph.

Thanks again. If you have all the wiring, computer, and all that......I would do the EFI. You can do some up grades and probly get better performance constantly.

I am great, thanks for asking....How about you?
Well, did you go to my web page yet ? I have all the info there and its pretty easy to follow. But, all in all you will need a rear sump oil pan with oil pick up tube, correct bell housing, torq converter, fly wheel, mid -late '80's F-150 v-8 motormounts, Bigger core radiator, correct throttle cable for v-8 (fuel injection or carb.) and a small modification to the K-member. Thats about the jiff of it all, of course there are some details to go with but I am glad to help in any way as I can. Where in MN. are you located, I live in Faribault ?
