I have a 91 Windstar cargo van. When I tried to start it it clicked once and then nothing. The negeative terminal on the battery was sort of hot too. The lights and all gauges seem illuminated. Is this a starter problem? Battery problem. I'm a mechanical dunce and would appreciate some insight. Should I take a hammer and bang on the starter and where the heck is it, under the engine as most starters used to be? Ok, ok, most of you ar laughing by now. Sorry. as I said, I'm not a mechanic.
