Cool help me

hey guys i am new to this forum and im probaly going to have alot of questions
i don't have a car yet but im looking to buy a mustang gt but as this is my first car my dad wants to put a govoner on it is there anything made my ford that will stop the car from reaching its top speed

I dont know of any aftermarket Governors out there, however there are RPM limiters. A RPM limiter will limit the RPM's the car can achieve, it doesnt limit the top speed but will make it real hard and make it slower to reach the top speed.

so is the rpm limiter sold by ford or do i have to buy it and have it put on and also does it affect the acceleration of the car

Joe.....There are plenty of hot rod shops that will make a throttle stop for that car....I'm going to say it will cost about, $100.00 installed.....

I do have to say one thing...........Your dad is cool.......My dad did not buy me crap to start with... Good luck...And once again Cool dad...Don't screw that deal up....LOL

ha thanks now i can actually have the car i have always wanted as my first car !

i just cant wait to pull up to my road test in an 06 gt
