Default Clearing codes, 1518 remaining, advice?

I joined to first say "thanks" to all you who share your info.

My issue for 98 Taurus 3.0 L 24Valve, 90K. I have been systematically performing repairs to rid myself of active SES to pass Calif emission test. So far EGR, DPFE, worn hose and cracked vacuum line replaced, cleaned throttle body valve and MAP. Codes cleared

New codes 401,402, pulled vacuum on EGR, no stall. Removed UIM, cleaned port and passages, new gaskets, plugs, pcv. Reinstall, check for leaks and all connections are tight. Starts runs smooth.

New code...1518, Manifold control Vehicle speed, Idle speed control, auxillary inputs. Cleared code, turned engine off, restart, drove 90 miles, no SES, park, turn engine off, restart, SES active. Rechecked on all connections. NO issues.

I suspect I have only missed or disturbed something in the process of the UIM removal/reinstall. Taking bets and advice here on where/what most likely happened.

Thanks again for sharing all your great advice!

Default

check for rods disconnected from plastic clips @imrc actuator or at intake. If rods not attached probally will need new retainers, buy extra so you have them when you drop them putting them in.
