Hello, I'm learning and sharing information on Ford motors and vehicles. I'm in the process of building a stroker for a project '80 F150, and have owned a few Fords along the way, and have always had to do my own mechanical work, but Ford High Performance is a relatively new endevour for me. Hope ya'll can put up with me.

There's a place I know about, where the dirt road runs out, and we can try out the 4 wheel drive..come on now, what do you say?
I've got the perfect place in mind, it's in the middle of nowhere, only one way to get there, you got to get a little mud on the tires.

I don't get it why people always expect a old vehicle that breaks down to always be covered under some warranty?

If your exhaust tip is larger than your cylinder bore, then you are a Ricer.

You are as useful as a Screen Door on a Submarine!

Welcome to the forum. What size stroker are you going to put in it? What are you planning to do to it as far as modifications?

Hey bbk- Didn't realize I had any responses on this thread, This forum does not alert my email and I have no link to this site, so I have to google up Ford Forums to get here. I need to see if I can do something about that. I'm planning on turning a 351w into a 399. w/ 3.85 nodular iron crank, Hyper pistons, forged I-beam aftermarket rods w/ARP bolts, stock iron heads, self port and polish w/ 1.94/1.60 swirl polished stainless steel valves and Comp springs, Speed-Pro flat tappet hyd. 290/300 cam (214/224 @ .050 472/496 lift w/ 112 lobe sep.) and lifters, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake and 750 cfm carb, Melling HV oil pump w/ billet driveshaft,Canton 7quart rear sump pan, Flow Kooler water pump, Cloyes Street Tru-Roller. Still to be decided and acquired; distributor, wires, and ignition system( just waiting for someone to give away a MSD Digital 6-Plus, but I'm sure it will be something less), headers (long or short?), and tall plain valve covers.. Thinking about making my own stealth nitrous system (100 hp shot). The manifold doesn't have an egr provision, so I picked up a 4-barrel egr plate. I'm thinking about modifying it to swirl the incoming air charge, and at the same time route the nitrous line through the egr valve and hose and install a spray bar in it. The solenoids would be under the dash and the fuel line would be hidden in a vacuum hose in the base of the carb. I'm putting in Camaro bucket seats, so I would build a custom console and hide the bottle there. In my dreams, I see myself building a 4-link rear suspension, but in the meantime some heavy duty springs with some helpers will have to deal with the power. I'll have about 10:1 compression ratio with this motor. Did I forget anything? Sound like it might work?

Thanks Mark, I figured that there was a way to enable e-mails , but didn't know where. I'm up and running now,(or should be). BKF 77, not much to take pics of yet, except a pile of new parts. You can see a truck just like mine anytime- just drive to your local junkyard and pick out the worst one. I could shoot some pics of the port and polish job on the heads, maybe I'll do that.
