Hello from Colorado. Nice site you have here. I'm hoping I can get some help from somebody. I'm seeking information on an engine swap in an 04 Merc Mountaineer... it has the 4.6 and a rod knock. I'm looking to swap out this motor and have never attempted the new stock before. I currently own a 77 F250 4x4 with the 429 conversion... the 429 is out of a 71 Thunderbird... also I own a 72 Ranchero 500 Qcode 351CJ and 4 speed... numbers matching. Having worked on all the old stock I desperately need a source for information on the new stock. Any help you can give me would greatly be appreciated. I know for the most part the electrical will pretty much be plug and play. I've been told a few horrific steps and I just need to get the information to either support it or give me a glimmer of hope that this job is one I can handle.
